Artist Statement: All of these pictures were taken somewhat close to the ocean at different times of the day. I want to show all of the different effects that one object, which happened to be the ocean, could have. In pictures two and four I loved the essence of the parallel-looking lines, which i hope will draw the viewer's eye to both sides of the photo. All of these photos have different coloring, but are of the ocean, so therefor they are somewhat similar and they all tie together.

Artist Statement: I chose simplicity. I like the look of this flower i chose because it is different. The battered petals add some interest to the flower. With the brightness of the flower and the dark background helped me and hopefully viewers really focus on the flower itself. The only problem i had was the wind on the flower made the pictures come out blurry, so i had to to take multiple pictures until i found the right one. Also, i had problems deciding whether i should do black and white or colored, but i think that the black and white interested me more.
